The Motherless Daughters Circle
A 6 week online grief tending circle
Dear Motherless Daughter, I see you.
The relationship between mother and daughter is unlike any other - and when that bond is broken, it can leave us feeling untethered and lost.
Within this 6-week circle, we will explore the unique experience of mother loss together, creating a supportive and nurturing space for your grief to be held and witnessed, without needing to explain or feel as though it needs to be 'fixed'.
When we come together with others who know what it's like to feel such deep and disorienting loss, we can find a sense of anchoring and comfort that can often be difficult to find elsewhere.
This circle offers a space for all women grieving the loss of their mother. Whether that loss came through death, estrangement, or the slow grief of a relationship changed by illness - your grief is welcome here.

What to expect
Each session will include a grounding practice (such as breathwork or guided meditation) an element of ritual, reflection, and sharing circle.
We will explore different themes together each week, which might include: how to take care of and 'mother' ourselves, ways to stay connected with our mothers through grief tending rituals, and navigating the ripple effects that mother loss brings to our lives.
In-between sessions you will also be supported with reflective prompts shared by email.
Whilst I am a BACP-registered Therapeutic Counsellor, this group will be held as a grief tending circle, not group therapy. However, my therapeutic background means I am able to hold space in a way that feels safe and attuned to the needs of the group - especially when navigating the tender emotions that can often come with grief. And of course, I also bring my own lived experience of losing my mum at 24.

A note from me...
When I lost my Mum at 24, I felt so alone in my grief. No one else I knew had lost a parent and could relate to what I was going through and I longed for a space where I felt truly seen and understood.
Years later, I finally found and joined my first grief tending circle.
I'll always remember the moment I joined my first call and took in all of the other faces of women who had lost their mothers too. In that moment, I felt instantly at home. There was this unspoken understanding between us all that I'd been searching for and it felt like a huge relief to finally find it.
Since then, I've always known I wanted to hold this kind of space for others... So, here it is.
It truly feels like a full circle moment (literally) to be able to offer what I really needed back then.
I hope this space can offer you the same warmth and comfort I have felt in my experiences and I can't wait to welcome you.
With love,
Hayley x
Testimonials
"The Motherless Daughters Circle was a deeply moving exploration of grief, longing, and remembrance. Hayley held the space with such care and gentleness, creating an environment that felt both supportive and safe. Each session was thoughtfully designed to honour the full spectrum of losing a mother — from sadness and yearning to joy, connection, and cherished memories. I especially valued the opportunity to be in community with others who understand this unique loss. Sharing openly and being witnessed in such a compassionate space was incredibly meaningful. Hayley is a truly skilled facilitator; her warmth and authenticity made it easy to open up, and I was particularly touched by how she wove in her own experiences, bringing her mother into the circle in a way that invited us to do the same. Thank you for such a heartfelt and healing experience."

"Hayley's motherless daughters grief tending circle has been one of the most significant things to support me with my grief after my mum died over a year ago, I'm endlessly glad I joined. At a time I felt very alone and unsupported, I found myself surrounded by people who just "got it". Anything was ok to share, and I felt so seen, held and heard. Hayley's gentle compassion held the space so beautifully, and her prompts helped me connect to my mum in a way I'd been struggling to for a long time. All of me and all my grief was accepted in our space together, and I feel so much more able to be with my grief now because of that."
