Grief Tending Circle ~ Summer Solstice

About the event

Come join me for a small and intimate grief tending circle at the peaceful Westridge Studios, Highclere. These circles are born from a deep recognition of the need for spaces where our grief is welcomed — in a world that so often asks us to carry it quietly or alone. My intention is to offer a warm, compassionate, and supportive space where your grief can be held, shared and witnessed, among others who understand the impact grief can have on our lives. What to expect: You will be gently welcomed into the space with a grounding practice of breathwork and meditation to help you land, followed by group introductions and a short introduction to grief tending. As we gather close to the Summer Solstice, we’ll explore how this seasonal threshold can guide us — reminding us that in giving space to what we might usually keep hidden in the dark, we may begin to welcome more light into our lives, too. There will be a sharing circle where you’ll be invited to express your grief in whatever way feels right for you — whether that’s sharing a story, a memory, something you are currently feeling or by simply being present. Sharing is always optional, and you are welcome just as you are. Your tears, your silence, your emotions — all are held with care. This session will also include simple ritual and reflective practices to help us connect more deeply with our grief beyond words. We’ll close with a gentle integration practice to support you in moving into the rest of your day. The space will be held with beauty and care, including a shared altar, poetry, music, warm herbal teas and small sweet offerings to nourish and comfort. This circle is open to all kinds of grief — not only the loss of a loved one, but also the quieter, unspoken griefs that can come with change, endings, or simply being human. All grief is welcome here. If you have any questions or would like to know more about grief tending, please feel free to reach out. I understand that if you’ve never been to a space like this before, it may feel unfamiliar - I’m here to help you feel as comfortable as possible. I also want to make this offering accessible so if finances are a barrier, please do reach out to ask about concessionary places and I will do my best to accommodate, no questions asked.
